The Residential Remodeling and Construction industry has kept our team on it’s toes over the last 18 months. There is no lack of reporting on the tumultuous headwinds our industry is facing: material shortages, cost fluctuations, lack of labor, unprecedented demand, and the ongoing health and safety concerns related to the COVID 19 pandemic.
The reality is, however, far more nuanced than a headline, and our team continues to remodel and build client homes, amidst the noise and chatter, even picking up three awards for work completed at the height of the pandemic. The increase in the costs of building materials, however, is a daily topic that is front and center in our work and that we seek to offer guidance to our clients on.
While some clients have a flexible budget and can execute their project without setting a fixed cost goal, others have to take a hard look at their work scope to prioritize the must-have updates that fit within their investment range. Assisting our clients in this decision making is a part of the GNB guided process. It is not our goal to build, build, build, regardless of client budget. We want your home remodeling project to serve you, on all levels, for decades to come. And the only way to do that is by understanding, and serving, our clients’ needs.
