Celebrating 20 Years In Business

When Len Bogh began Great Northern Carpentry in 2002, he could not have imagined the path his organization would take or that he would one day be celebrating 20 years in business. But in 2022, that is exactly what Bogh’s company will has done.

Shortly after setting up shop, the company set its sights on something bigger than small scale carpentry projects and was soon rebranded as Great Northern Builders. That change, and many of the company’s organizational updates through the years, was guided by Len Bogh’s wife and business partner, Maya Bogh, President of the company.

The pair’s guided project management process has been honed and developed carefully over the past two decades.  Maya states, “We have built a reputation based on our quality of work, integrity, professionalism, positive attitude and long-lasting relationships. In our first 20 years of business, our tagline has been ‘We Create Home’.  For our 20th year, we have moved to the phrase ‘Legacy Built’, which we feel speaks not only to the quality of our workmanship, but also to creating a company that will endure, to creating homes that will be passed from generation to generation with our work intact, and to building relationships and a reputation that will carry on into the next generation.”

Maya and Len also lend credit to the Homebuilders and Remodelers Association of Maine and in particular, their NAHB Remodeler 20 Club for providing access to resources, as well as sharing best practices for small business owners to build their business.

In honor of this milestone, the company hosted a 20th Anniversary Celebration in December at the Great Northern Builders headquarters in South Berwick, ME. Len and Maya invited clients new and old, as well as the many partners and vendors who they work with daily to create successful outcomes for their clients.
